Magdalena is back in the saddle dropping 2 of the 4 pounds she gained back when she was slaving at her job in So Cal. Skipping meals during the day and late night dinner reeked havoc on her system and her newly developed discipline.
Rumor has it Jeff B went over to the dark side while on vacation in Mexico. Too many nachos (or machos, in his case) and margaritas. But, is he really doing "Insanity" for a work out these days or is there just a hint of "Insanity" in rationalizing the pizza and soda consumption I keep hearing about? Jeff, come back...I hate having a man down!!
Now Maria M is a whole other story...that girl is my hero. She started the PX-90 workout few weeks ago and is actually DOING it! With the great weather we have had she is also finding time to get in a hike or two. Though she claims she has not lost much weight. I am sure she is feeling more energy every day.
Debra V is part of another diet group and is doing terrific. Having a little help from your "sistas" make a huge difference.
if you have just started reading this blog or need a little refresher, go back a take a look at past posting on "Diet Details" and review the Recipe page for meal ideas.
Thanks for the props, but I'm not sure it's deserved. Now that I'm on vacation, I'm feeling myself slip off the wagon...and it could be a pretty steep slide! So far I've lost a total of seven pounds over seven weeks, but it hasn't all been down hill. The first week I lost 2.5 lbs, but obviously subsequent weeks weren't quite as successful (or I would have already hit my 20 lb goal). It's a struggle, and the hardest part is keeping up on the workouts...P90X takes up a lot of time but I really feel the difference in terms of muscle tone and energy. Don't get me wrong: I am far from achieving a "beach body," but at least my arms and thighs have a little less jiggle. And who knows, once I lose a few more pounds, I might feel ready for some beach time with the kids ;).
